1. UN adopts its first resolution dedicated to assistive technology
2 September. The UN General Assembly adopted the “Access to Assistive Technology” resolution by consensus. It calls for assistive technology to be integrated into health, education, employment and social-protection systems, with disabled people involved throughout policy and product development.
